23 isn't all that special. My elf wizard (level 12) has a 23 armour class. [img]smile.gif[/img]
A modestly-equiped, mid-level druid can hit 30 wearing medium armor by using "barkskin." The "barkskin" potion can help fighters, and others, substantialy improve their AC.
