Lesser restoration only restores lost abilities, like strength. You'll need a full restoration, available as a scroll or clerical spell. Some level draining will go away, for example, that cast by a clerical spell. That done by a trap or undead creatures is permanent until restored. Healing at a temple is usually the cheapest option (even including the 50-400 gp to return to your current location).
