Drinking 2-3 potions of Endurance (yes effects are cumulative) before the fight helps raising your resistance to poison. Having antidote potions in a quick slot helps a lot.
But if every thing else fails, go visit another district, do some misc quests, gain 2-3 levels then return to the Spider.
