According to other posts on the site, threatening innocents for money moves you both towards Chaos and Evil. Try it out and see what it does (maybe only certain ones move you towards Chaos, but I'm pretty sure all of them move you towards Evil). Don't know what will move you towards Lawful, though.
I miss Planescape: Torment, the game upon which this alignment system is (loosely) based. There, they had options to tell the truth and to lie, sometimes saying the same exact thing (just whether you are sincere about it or not). They also had options to do things for "justice" or to do things for "vengeance." The former in both cases moved you towards lawful, the latter in both cases moved you towards chaotic. Your alignment is more fluid in that game, and it SHOULD be. If you do things way out of character for your alignment (Lawful/Chaotic or Good/Evil), it should shift your alignment.
I wouldn't mind them fixing that in modules, where there are choices that affect ALL aspects of alignment.
