There are different moves that you can do with your sword... if you're moving backward, for example, you get a high swing (useful for bats). If you're moving sideways, you get a sideways sweeping stroke.
With forward, sideways, and standing still attacks, there is a sequence that allows you to execute a "power move", and a different power move for each one (as I understand it). It's not quite as intricate as the old Pirates game was, where you could attack high, medium, or low, but it's more than nothing [img]smile.gif[/img]
You can also do sneaky things, like shooting arrows while doing backflips or shooting and then double-tapping the left- or right-arrow keys. That initiates a sideways dive... handy for the sewer bridge area [img]smile.gif[/img]
I'll have to see what it looks like when the game actually comes out. Hopefully, they're taking the time to do it right, as opposed to... (everybody sing together) "rushing it out the door".
