Rename it to get rid of the _new. Your final files should be townmsk1.avi, townmsk2.avi, and townmsk3.avi. And they should all be about 32MB in size.

If they're not named that (and you renamed the originals properly), there would be no .avi files there (from the game's perspective), and you wouldn't be able to access anything.
