You should find at least a couple of unique creatures up there... the belfry spiders. Aside from that, there's really not a whole lot.

I have always been amazed, BTW, that it's so close when you jump up, and so far away when you look to jump back down

This area is thought to be one that was left out of the final design. If you look, there is a spot where you see a door. It just doesn't work
