Well if you really don't feel like
doing the crypt, you can just leave from there by going back up the spiral stairs (jump the gap (try looking more UP than forward... physics in the Gael Serran is odd)) and exit the building. Then you can do your Vanish-ing trick through the caves (they're north, up a North-South river) and go on to Ishad N'ha.
Frankly, the Signet is a pretty nice ring, and I'd suggest getting it
