That's weird. Are you at the right place? Check:

1. Are you in the round room immediately behind the broken stairs? It's the room where you have killed some oozes after passing the stairs. If you come from the broken stairs then
- the elevator is to your right
- a chest and a short way leading to a place below the broken stairs is to your left
- a way to the water pool with alcoves with Rephtian and the chest with the Bauble Stick is directly before you.

2. Are you at the elevator? The elevator looks like a wall (it is up, at Flokis Ra). If you come to the elevator, the chest and the way below the broken stairs is directly behind you across the room.

3. If you are at the elevator, investigate the "door frame" around the supposed wall. You should find a "crack" in it, which identifies itself as a "receptacle". Select "use item", scroll the list so that it shows the crystal, and click the receptacle. The crystal will be placed into the receptacle, the wall will start moving down, and the elevator will appear. After a short while, the elevator will move up again no matter whether you enter it or no. If it happens then click the receptacle (which now contains the crystal) again. Simply click, you don't need to "use item" something again. The elevator will go down again.
