IF that's the lock you're looking for, then the key from Adriana is the one you were looking for. When you returned with the scroll of banishing, she offered you several choices of reward. The key was one of those; if you chose eternal life (vampirism) or the vampire ring, then you missed out on that key and can't get it (unless you hack).
You need a high level lockpick skill or high sorcery skill (to do the disarm trap spell, whose name escapes me). Or a strong beefeater to simply bash the door open.
