This is perfectly normal and eventually it does all work out but every poster on this forum will agree that there were better ways to manage this and many players have wasted too much time reloading their games trying to beat that 1HP increase. Reloading and trying again can actually just prolong the agony.
Your characters will develop in such a way that is in keeping with the game as you progress through it, so don't worry about these 1 HP increases!
