Chapter 2: A Stranger, And A Struggle
Lathisia continued to search the clearing untill she finaly came to a area were the trees opened. She went through that new passage until she came across the road leading to the grave yard. She said to herself "Well i guess a little patience and exploration paid off". There was a stranger on the road, hooded, robed, and it seemed like a bad skin problem. Lathisia ran to the stranger and imedetly asked "Is there was something wrong with his skin?" she then added "If there is, i can probly cure it" the stranger simply hissed, in a dry cracked,and serpentine way "There is nothing wrong with my skin!". He then hissed in that same hissing voive "I travel to the city of Valeia, just over there, could you tell me Gareth livessssss there?". Lathisia had a bad feeling about him and said "No!", in a rather firm voice. The stranger then hissed back in an angry tone "Thatssssssss to Bad, i would realy like to have--to have seen him" then more suddenly and unsuspectedly he hissed "are you lying?, I do hope your not liing!". Lathisia only responded "I am not lying". The stranger hiised one last time and hissed more sourly the heard before "Even though you may not be lying, but--I well still continue my travells to Valleia--to--see for my self, now get out of my way!". Lathisia moved away and the stranger continued down the path. At that moment about 40 trolls jumped out of the shadows, Lathisia knew she would need her strongest spells to overcome this many trolls. She summond a whirling dervish, it circled her protecting her from the trolls, aswell as killing about 10 trolls on its own. One big troll, with many scars came running at Lathisia. She waited until the huge troll was almost on top of her and with one swift move, jumped up and sliced his hed off. This assult on what turned out to be the trolls leader stunned most of the trolls for just long enough that Lathisia was able to unleash more whirling dervishes killing another 25 trolls. The remaining 4 trolls were easily killed by Lathisia. Lathisia then returned to town. When she arived she saw a crowd of people, short to tall, fat and skinny, all standing in a circle. Lathisia imedetly went to see what happend, when she broke through the last layer of people, she saw Gareth, dead on the ground. After some investigating she soon learned that Gareth had bean killed by the serpentine traveller.
