Actually, Kev, the word is "arbitrage", and it's French in origin, IIRC. It should be in your Oxford, at least if you've got one from the 80's onward [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Arbitrage refers to taking advantage of the fact that price differences exist. An old example involves someone who discovered that in Holland, people didn't like brown eggs, and in France, people didn't like white eggs. So he went back and forth, buying the useless brown eggs in Holland and selling them in France, and buying those trashy white eggs in France and selling them in Holland. I may have the countries wrong, but that's one of the earliest examples I've heard of.

And you don't have to have the merchant skill to do it in W&W -- any magical arrow is sold cheaply at the guild's "private" store, but commands a large price at the public store. Starts with Arrows +1 in Valeia's warriors guild.

Then enchant 'em up, and watch your money problems go away.
