Welcome to the board Nutman!!!

Always make sure your magic users get all the key high level spells, in their current school. Once you change roles...they can only learn spells at half their skill level, for the old schools. (At that point...you can learn some of the lower level spells to fill out their book.)

Other things to consider are the traits that are available to certain roles....Only a ranger can learn 'Fletchery'. There's a good post in the BEST TIPS thread...page 3..QUICK GUIDE TO ROLES.
