Gidday,
I picked up Wizard and Warriors for quite cheap here in New Zealand, didn’t really need another game to play – but I am glad I got it because it definitely has a classic old school RPG feel to it, can’t wait to get into it. Anyway after reading the manual/forum posts and playing a little a few questions have come up.
I did a small install, is their much difference between this and a full install ( I suppose a full install would give me faster loading times etc??)
Changing Professions/Roles – when you change to a new role you keep your old roles skills and can continue to use them and improve them?? If you changed to a new role at say level 5, you start your new role at level 1 and not at say the equivalent of level 6 for that character (as in Wizardry8)?? Once you change roles you can’t go back to the old role (so can’t change paladin to ninja and then back to paladin) ??
Can you change roles too much, I mean what makes a character more powerful – higher level or greater number of different skills/magic???
How are Bards?? – how is the path Warrior – Barbarian – Bard or is it better to go from Rogue - Bard
How are Ninjas – in Wiz8 they are best kept in the backlines for throwing criticals etc, are they good for close combat in Wiz and Warr’s??
Combat – can you arrange your party to have say the fighters on front lines and magic users in the back, or are all 6 characters considered to be all within the same reach by enemies.
Thanks heaps for any help with these questions
Cheers
Nutman
