Ryanamur is very correct - now is NOT the time to try to become a Samurai. Go do the Serpent Temple first! (take cure poison potions with you and have one of your characters learn the cure poison spell asap!)
Complete everything that is out the east gate of Ishad N'ha before you considering doing the west. It can be very nasty out there!
