Any spell a character has "learned" is always available for use after changing roles. Having a healer is a big help. Having the spells: Create Portal, Teleport and Call of Home are a must!
The only thing to keep in mind is that once you change class, your character can only learn spells up to half their new level - (what the heck does that mean?
) If you want your character to learn some of the specific 5th, 6th and 7th level spells in their current class - have them learn them BEFORE changing class!
I've found it useful to not try to learn every spell. I found many of them to not really be that useful. I often had characters that had overlapping skills so I'd let one concentrate on all the Moon spells will another concentrated on the Vine or whatever. Eventually (since my characters have wandered this world more than once) they've learned them all.
