Also remember that when you use the writ to get into the stout mines...FIRST & FOREMOST SAVE YOUR GAME PRIOR TO TRYING! (writs have been known to disappear sometimes!) But, when the guy returns it to your party, it will be unidentified and may not go back to the person who gave it to him. Check everyone's inventory if you ever think it lost before reloading a saved game where you have it.
