There are a couple two headed giants that you have to go after. The 1st is outside the Boogre Prison, and the 2nd is in the Skull Castle. The 2nd is the one you want for the shield. Bummer if you didn't get it. Make sure you check you inventories carefully, and the place where you fought the giant.
