Hi Dark!
Welcome to the forum! The create a portal spell and call of home spell only work outside...as does teleport. Call of home...does just that...takes you to the nearest city. Once you create a portal outside, you use call of home to go to a city ... then when outside the city you can use teleport to bring you back to where you created your portal.
