You're going to be in for a real treat pretty soon here, they go by the name of "Amazoni Mantraps." They're probably the single most difficult thing to kill in the game because of your relatively low levels at this point. Come back if you find you need help with these things. It shouldn't be too hard to find Shurugeon Castle (the next place you need to go to progress with the storyline) once you beat the Mantraps.
Note: If you're ever stuck at any point in the game, the guild quests seem to be very good at pointing you to the next location you need to go. If a lot of guild quests are directing you to a specific location, you'd probably better go.
