MockHuman, the best way to do it is to "hop"... Look upward at about a 30-45 degree angle and move by using the zero key on the numeric keypad. You'll get the repeated "Tarzan Yell" effect and your characters may take some damage from time to time (from falling through the branches, no doubt!) but with persistance, you can navigate that way.
