now did you check the other entrance on the other side of the stick room? there were two... new one to me....
the one exit takes you to meet the major monster (you will get a gift afterwards plus it completes one of the guild quest) and the other exit (with the treasure on the shelf) takes you back to the beginning... I don't remember that you needed to throw the switch or not...
did you kill the witch and get the eye?
