Wowzah!!!

Thanks everyone!! I really appreciate all the best wishes and compliments (blush)!

What they will be doing is removing the now cloudy lens in my right eye - this lens is directly behind the color portion (iris). I believe they use a form of ultrasound to break up the old lens and a very tiny vacuum to remove it. They will then insert a replacement lens so I won't end up with those classic coke bottle lenses. My doctor will also correct a minor remaining astigmatism on this eye. Recovery time isn't extremely long but it may take a couple of days before color returns fully to the eye.
And then, come June 2nd, I get to do it all over again for my left eye too.
I admit that I am a bit nervous. These operations are pretty routine these days and I have an excellent surgeon, but my eyes are my work (I do oil paintings)so I'm a little anxious. It is a blessing that they can work this sort of miracle!!
