You you look at his original email it seems that he is in the beginning stages of working on a new RPG. Figure that could take a year or more to do I guess. Then perhaps, (he doesn't say definately)he might work on a W&W 2. Also, if you read closely you'll see he mentions that if a W&W2 is too far off in the future he may release some sort of editor to keep us busy in W&W1. He also says he'd like to. That doesn't mean defiantely.
Looking at that , I'd think it will be quite some time before we even get definate news on a sequal. If you hope W&W and Wiz8 will hold you over till then, I'd suggest perhaps having Pools of Radiance 2, Never Winter Nights, Dungeon Seige, Morrowind and maybe Arcanum to help hold you over till a W&W 2 is on the shelves.
Sadly it could be quite a while. But, the news that there may be a sequal someday makes me happy.
