Really, I tried to role-play a Bard this time! All her inventory is cluttered up with instruments - she's also my Forge specialist, and I had her play them several times in combat. The first time, her Music skill was around lvl 7; she had more turns a round than the others who were casting spells, so I thought, this is great, let her play some more. (A pity, BTW, that you don't get any sound....) But suddenly all her efforts fizzled, and when I looked at her status, it said 'tired', and a bit later 'winded'; she stayed winded for all of 15 minutes. She still tired easily at skill lvl 11; she's an elf and has a fortitude of 18, so it can be that.
I've had three chars so far doing 15 lvls of Bard, one had a fortitude of 23 and still got tired and winded. So I think Barding is not for me .....
