Well on was on my way to that shrine place but couldnt find my way. So i was looking aroud where my map said it was and i came across a living tree! After he talked i attacked him. It was taking to long to kill him so i ran. Soon after i found my way and for a griffes in front of the shrine. is there a way to get around this guy without a fight...i didnt know the answer so i had to fight the first time...i got his life really low then i turned to stone. The fight was long and i want to avoid it if possible. Is it?
