I once had a DM complain that the party was too quick to use a violent solution, and asked us to use more 'peace and love'. So, I named my twin axes "Peace" and "Love". My crossbow was later named "Diplomacy".
My live group tends to ridicule character names. "Demetrius" became know as "Deadmeatrius", after about 2 minutes. So, I tend to use humorous names, such as 'Mea the Ad'. (Hint, look at it as one word). There is a variation that can't be used in polite company.
