I would recommend that you go back to Nivius' tomb to make sure you did pick up the signet. It should be on the remains of Nivius. I'm about 95% sure that you forgot to pick it up (don't worry, it happened to me too
)
If that fails... Wyvern will be able to "return" the missing signet to your inventory.
