Drop the bauble stick and the gold key...no longer needed.
Generally, if items are needed after you finish a dungeon, there'll be a broad hint about it. For example, the Oracles tell you you need the "Face of Death" before you get to Shurugeon...a GOOD hint that you need that particular item in that dungeon.
