There is no way to make the time go faster (drat). YOu can spend your time anywhere you want as long as you stay out of town. The difficulty with this is that it can be harder to tell when your time limit is up (that's difficult anyways) so go where you want and SAVE YOUR GAME before you enter town and check. SOmetimes they'll reset the clock if you enter too soon and you'd have to start over again except when you can just restore your saved game!
