Correct, but we cannot afford the patch for a long time because we need some "features" of the game to fix some stupidities in it (gain 1 HP each time you level up, etc.).
As far as 655 is concerned, it should not cause any problems with a good API. 655 is used by more cards, it is a different norm. Some video cards can switch between 565 and 655. It is not a bug in nVidia. Video cards are able to tell you whether and when they are 565 or 655. That's why OpenGL works nicely with both norms. An example: Might & Magic is OpenGL. No problems and I've never heard about any problems with video. Half-life: the same. Wizards & Warriors: problems, crashes, aliasing in fonts, and so on, and so on ... ueee.
