First of all, you're NOT STUPID. Accidents happen.

Second: Try to uninstall the game through "Add/remove Programs" through Control Panel...see if it has a record for the game in the list box.

If that doesn't work:

Third: Try deleting the Activision folder from your C: drive. Then empty the recycle bin. (Make sure you back up your savegames to another disk, if you want to save them.)

Fourth: If ALL ELSE FAILS:

you can try going into your Registry and deleting out every key that points to WizardsWarriors or Activision. BEWARE!!! I do not recommend this for beginners. Editing the Registry can be VERY dangerous for your computer. Make sure you back up a copy of it before you edit it.

In fact, if the first three don't work, Mark, e-mail me at sazerac1963@yahoo.com and I may be able to walk you through a Regedit session. But I STRONGLY suggest you try the first three suggestions before resorting to a Registry edit.
