Glad you got it all working well finally!
It sux to have to go through so much trouble to put your machine back into working order when someone you trust (Microsoft) puts out a bad product.
I would get in line to tell them what I think of it but they are big enough that they don't have to listen and I doubt that they would.
They had to know that DX 8 was a piece of garbage and they should realize by now that they can't force the market to upgrade with every new opportunity anymore.
