Upon returning to BG City in Chapter 7, there are only three places that you'll NEED to go:
- Top floor of the Iron Throne
- Undercellars (yes, with the frisky girls)
- One more location, which will become obvious after doing the Undercellar.

Your progression in the Main Plot seems normal, but I don't have a clue about your game lag.
