Go into your BG1 folder, find the cache and delete it.
It's done.

I went into the Cache folder and opened up the Data folder within it and deleted the files there.

When I restarted the game I had CD-6 in my drive yet the game asked me for CD-5.

Kind of strange, though it probably had to do with the fact that it had no area data/cache to work from.

Anyhue, the game speed at Candlekeep is STILL no different from before.

I read about deleting the game's cache on the 'BioWare forum' last night, but shouldn't the overfilled cache effect the speed of the entire game, in every area?

Oh and please, if anyone can reasure me that I didn't screw up the plot somehow that would be great!

And could someone spoil me on what comes next in the game after the catacombs?

And am I going to have to go back to Candlekeep later in the game? Or am I finished there? Because if so, then I might not have to worry about my primary problem in the first place! HHHHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!
