Posted by: Night Stalker Get the ToSC patch from Bioware. There is a resource problem with ToSC. The patch fixes it.

I did just that and it accomplished nothing.

I downloaded the 'US/Canada TotSC' patch and had it installed.

I then loaded a saved game up again and went back to Candlekeep but it was still 'uber-slow'.

I then decided to restart my computer thinking that the patch wouldn't take effect until I did so, but it still didn't do anything.

Note: when I head to Candlekeep and the 'loading area' comes up, the loading process takes extremely long to finish.

I have NEVER had any problems in the past with playing this game or any other game for that matter, my system specs are not spectacular but do seem to be sufficent for most games out there today. Pentium 3, 450 mghz, 128 ram, GeForce-4 MX 420 AGP 64mb, and running Win98.
