I think all of my guys were at least Level 4 when I went into the Crypt. But, My chacatures were 3 warriors, 1 priest, 1 warrior and 1 rogue. You could probably still make it your way though. On mekdawa, just stop in front of him and click "give" on him. He will accept it and thank you for it.
