You need to say the right word to Shinwiki to get the Shaman's door open, I think the word was "Evil". If all else fails, just talk to him about everything on the list.

The way into the Snake Temple is around the back, swim through the river and in by the back door. Make sure that your party has plenty of cure poison potions, or a least 1 member knows the spell Cure Poison.
