When I became a Barbarian I used my Dwarf Warrior. That seemed to work well. They need 20 'kills'... I don't think Assists count. You need to join the Warrior Guild (500 gold) and then pay for the Accension (500 gold). The guy will give you the quest and when you go back just sit there with that character selected in the Armory.
The Temple quest is reached near Ishad N'ha so you need to complete the grave quest first.
Personally I hated the Toad Village more than anything else. There is at least one, maybe two toads that stand in your way. Some people are able to squeeze by them with the small characters, other say goodbye, and if you get far enough to get the Vanish spell you can use that.
My means of solving it was to 'go toad' and kill off everyone of the toads. I was not a good Ukubu.
