You will be greeted by some samurai skeletons and eventually the spirit of the samurai who will drop tha baton only if you are on the samurai role ascenscion quest. There are 2 areas to the graveyard. So if he is not in the first area, go North from the first area and you will find him. If you have more than one character on the quest, just go back and fight the Spirit of the Samurai again to get an additional baton.
