Judging from your last post (about torch light) I'm going to guess that you are in Anephas' Tomb still -
The things you need to complete before you are able to exit out the "back door" are: finding Anephas' ashes, talking to Kerah and getting the Light obelisk, raising Anephas by using the light obelisk and his ashes. Once you have spoken with Anephas, the "back door" will open - no lever, no key, it just opens. It is the door that is in a room with fallen columns, no statue. It isn't that far from where you speak to Anephas. Hope that helps, gandolph!
