Dear Dragonshadow, I am for the decision, but against the policy. KI has both noble and estimable goals, but that is not to suggest that feckless attitudes and reckless policy-making will be enough to ensure the beginnings of a Kobold strata to our present civilised demographic.
It has long been my desire to see a realistic and acceptable attempt at the KI experiment, to ascertain fully whether Kobolds are capable of intermingling with the rest of Faerûn, or to remain forever apart from society.
All that the mainstream members of KAK have called for is a structured and organised apporach to the KI issue. The original "policy" as touted by BYOB militants was to begin Kobold integration on a wide-scale measure. Both KAK and many members of the Senate found that idea unworkable, and unacceptable. Hence, the founding of Area 51.
Am I for the Kobold or against him? Yes AND no. All that KAK requires is proof (clear, unfettered and justifiable proof) that the experiment is more than a poorly-concealed attempt to raise an army in our midst, or emotionally-driven over-sensitivity to the Sword Coast's "Kobold problem".
