There was some speculation a while back (I recall Davros's name popping up somewhere in the thread) that there *should* be some way to reach that upper walkway in Shurugeon's Pool Room.
Well, I just did it, and guess what? Nothing's there
My Female Elf Ninja, Athletics Lvl 8, carried the chest from the healing fountain room and put the barrel on top of it, and climbed up top with no problems -- and found a nice wooden path going nowhere, with nothing. I at least expected some secret treasure for my effort...
Well, it's worthless, but diving head-first from the walkway into the pool is awful fun, and that fountain is right there to heal your silly a$$ so give it a try
