Yes, you can go back out sort of the way you came in -
In the room with all the spikes that come down to crush you and the pit on the far side between you and the exit there is a button - run over to the button missing as many of the spikes as possible and push the button. This places your characters on the far side of the pit - then all you need to do is look for the lever on the end wall which was the same lever you switched to enter this dungeon and you're out!
