I had the same problem. The standard- places which are mentioned by lots of users just work for some people. the position of the stones is definately random. I didn`t find one in the crab- trap or the room with the 6 pipes but in 2 chests in different rooms. One room with a mermaid and one 0815- room with no important stuff. You just have to search the whole area and look for chests, some are hidden below broken columns.
