I prefer the Pally/Cleric of Ilmater.
Powerful stuff as long as you can grab a Wisdom boosting item (to boost spellcasting), fully buffable and a great secondary cleric with tanking capabilities.
Plus, having someone fully capable of casting Raise Dead on the primary cleric is always a plus should you run out of scrolls.
(But it's the buffs that really make this build shine. Tons of buffs!

OTOH, I've made a ridiculous Pally of Mystra/Wizard before. Was funny abusing the Melf's Minute Meteors bug for 5 APR with that Gsword the half-dragon drops XD
Of course, that was in my bomarbier party, where I had 3 arcane casters (two wizard multiclasses and a sorceror), 2 divine casters ( cleric and a druid/fighter combo), and then a drow monk (unhittable goodness, but with an ECL I can stand)
