I think the necromancer specialty is tough to justify from a RP perspective as Druids think undead are an affront to nature:
"Druids gain power not by ruling nature but by being at one with it. They hate the unnatural, including aberrations or undead, and destroy them where possible."
I would think for what you're going for, something like Evoker would fit in better.
