Give me a dwarf. A fighter multiclassed with something, maybe barbarian, cleric or paladin.

A short, tough, bearded bloke who prefers to go through his enemies axe-first. None of that messing around with finesse or sorcery.
Ah, thou hast not yet felt the power of the Drow. Patience, Grasshopper, for wisdom will come in time (unless you drop it for a massive DEX bonus )

Why the drow rock:

Stats: perfect for many multiclassing options. The CON loss is bearable, and they are suited for all forms of magic or combat.

Favored Class: Cleric or Mage makes them able to be very versatile with multiclassing. Also, the stats encourage adding thief to the mix.

Magic resistance: Need I say more? A drow monk can be your permanent fireball targeting reticule. Simply rush him in, enjoy a few moments of watching pitiful enemies try to hit him, then drop as many fireballs, horrid wiltings, meteor swarms, fire storms, flame strikes, etc. as you want.

Honestly, the only thing that a drow can't do is be a barbarian.

So, how are your dwarves doing, Aerich?
