As far as killing her or not killing her...I am not aware of any secret thing that is there for doing one or the other. I don't even remember what I did! Lol! Sorry, I'm not much help in that respect, but I would mainly suggest you play according to your character's alignment. That is the most important thing, if you are really into gaming and being submerged into the game world. If your party would likey not give her a chance, then waste her. If your party is forgiving and trusting, then let her go. It'll all work out in the end for the best.
